Award Winner at Swiss Mountain Film Festival 2014.

Between the highest mountains of the world lies hidden a small valley, the former kingdom of Mustang. Almost a desert, that's how dry it is in Mustang, the land of the Lo-Pa. Yet for many hundreds of years there was still enough water to live. But now the climate has changed, the fields are drying up. The inhabitants of the small village Samzong at an altitude of 4000 meters have to relocate -- nobody knows what the future will bring. But one thing is certain - they will lose the land of their ancestors.

Bhutan’s archer for the Olympics (English Version)

360°- Geo-Report - 52 minutes - ARTE

For 5 weeks the team accompanied the archer during her struggle for participation in the Olympics, and in so doing renders a very personal portrait of the likable sportswoman.

In the mysterious kingdom, archery is a centuries-old ritual. Almost every man has mastered the art of bow and arrows. It is then all the more astounding that, of all people, it is a young woman who has managed to reach world class level. Tshering Chhoden is considered the most talented archer in the country. When she proves her ability in the qualifying competition in front of the Olympic committee, she can travel to the Games. The documentary accompanies her along the way and shows a profile of the people and the countryside of this Himalayan state that even today remains isolated from the outside world.

SOS in the Rocky Mountains (German)

360° - GEO Report - 52 minutes - HD - ARTE

Within minutes of receiving the emergency call, George Field and his men are sitting in the helicopter. The mountain rescue team in the Canadian Rocky Mountains must attend to wounds, relieve pain and rescue people out of serious danger. Many times the team members themselves have had to look death in the eye.

We accompany the missions of George Field and his mountain rescue team from Kananaskis Public Safety. The three men from the mountain rescue team in Canmore and many additional rangers were deeply involved in the project. What impressed us in particular was their willingness to talk about the emotional stress of rescuing severely injured people or retrieving dead bodies. To all of them, and especially the head of the rescue team, George Field, I wish to express again my sincere thanks.

Witch-hunt in Tanzania (German)

360°- Geo-Report - 52 minutes - Digibeta - ARTE

„Witch-hunt in Tanzania” is a documentary about an African tradition that is seen as a cause of the problems of development on the entire continent. The belief in witches is still very prevalent throughout Africa. Sickness, death and failure are often attributed to witchcraft. This opens the floodgates to witch-hunts. In Tanzania alone, hundreds of people, predominantly women, fall victim to an obsessive belief in witches. A journalist and a sociology professor have set out to find the real reason for the persecution of alleged witches and warlocks. We join them on their search.

Yemen’s veiled future (German)

360°- Geo-Report - 52 minutes - HD - ARTE

Hardly any TV team has ever managed, up to now, to portray women in Yemen and their daily life, so hidden from the outside world. That we succeeded in this is due to the remarkable courage of a few of these women who break with the bonds of tradition and open up their very secluded world to the public eye.

Yemen is considered one of the most beautiful countries in the Middle East - and one with a multitude of problems. Weapons, the drug „khat“ and the water that is so scarce in Yemen are the main sources of business in the countryside and reason for rivalry between the ruling tribes. In this atmosphere of poverty, violence and corruption, some women try to set up something they can call their own - very much to the disapproval of the traditionalists in power. Cause enough for a tangible power struggle.
